Nikos Perdikopanis holds a degree in Computer Science from the Department of Informatics of the University of Athens, a Master’s degree in Advanced Information Systems and a second Master’s Degree from the “Informatics Technologies in Medicine and Biology” . He is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Thessaly in the area of Gene Expression Analysis.
In the past, he has participated in numerous research and development projects, initially as a programmer and then as an analyst and coordinator. He participated in the design and implementation of major Public Administration projects as a designer of large data processing systems. He is an expert in developing open source software.
His research focuses on Machine Learning methods for the identification of transcription and translation regulatory regions.
